Advent. Learn

I’ve been doing a new thing since the beginning of November. The transition from the wee kirk to Burke continues to be fascinating. Going from a community of 65 to one of 650, with parallel ten-fold differences in budget, staff, and all the rest, would be jarring enough on its own. Add in the simple fact that I’d been doing the one thing for more than 16 years and the result is finding myself constantly learning something new.
I find that mostly invigorating, though, of course, sometimes exhausting.
Learning is like that. Little kids come home from school needing naps for a reason. And, often, they are too wound up to take one. Also, for a reason. Learning is like that.
What are you learning these days? What would you like to learn? What do you need to learn? Where will your learnings intersect with the story we learn again and again each Advent?
